Luc Fransen is Associate Professor of International Relations in the Political Science department. Max Joosten

Max Joosten is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). He received his PhD from the University of Geneva in 2023. Within the Responsible Business Conduct Lab, he is particularly interested in the extent to which there exists variation in stringency across different global supply chain regulations, how this variation is shaped and how it impacts corporate behaviour. Diliara Valeeva

Diliara is an Assistant Professor in Computational Social Science at the Political science department of the University of Amsterdam. She received her PhD at the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research in 2021. Before joining the UvA, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Geography department of the KU Leuven. Vera Săvulescu

Vera Săvulescu, a PhD student (working under the guidance of Dr. Luc Fransen) obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Groningen, and subsequently pursued a Master’s Degree in Political Economy at the UvA. The synergy between these academic fields has steered her research focus towards studying the interaction between business and governmental actors. Her work emphasizes applying novel quantitative approaches to analyse the structure of global supply chains, thereby contributing insights into the potential effectiveness of supply chain governance.
